Notwithstanding Clause

Except for the fact that they are serious, the proposition that Doug Ford’s use of the notwithstanding clause is somehow a violation of the “rule of law“ would be genuinely hilarious. It is a section of the Canadian constitution. It is, in fact, the law. The idea that using a provision of the Constitution could somehow violate the rule of law is laughable.
