At a conference in Ottawa recently I observed that the people who make up our National Government, politicians and public servants, have developed a new revealing jargon. Issues are called Files, meetings are called Tables.
Ideas and conversations are not of the mind, they are referred to as objects. This mechanistic and materialistic turn of mind, Marxist in origin, dominates their perceptions and understandings.
Let me see if I qualify for a job in Ottawa: you’re saying that they call a table to object about any objects relative to the file in question.
