Those who think they can stop nature and put a pin in the world’s climate and keep it from changing are the real ‘climate change deniers.’ They believe in the impossible proposition that mankind can stop climate change.

On a recent road trip we visited the Revelstoke Railway Museum. It is almost as good as the Cranbrook Railway Museum.
As we entered the gift shop, we were confronted with a very post-modern Canadian sign. It set forth the usual acknowledgement to a local Indian tribe and noted, the land was ‘unceded,’ still owned by them. As usual, the casual affirmation that the Indians still owned the land, was legally and practically meaningless.

A recent Provincial Teachers’ Union billboard campaign is themed, “It Takes a Teacher.”
The campaign begs the question; It Takes a Teacher …to do what?
Hiring Practices
I fear for the host of a CBC classical music program.
While driving, I stumbled on CBC and some classical music.
The announcer, in his best FM voice, described the piece to be played next. It was by a Hungarian composer and conductor who lived in Germany and Hungary in the mid-1930s. The announcer told the story of this man.
Canadian Freedoms
I am coming to believe that many Canadians do not value freedom. They do not attach any importance to a right to demonstrate or speak their minds.

The worst was the RCMP physically restraining a reporter from the daily briefing by Justin, Trudeau the Second. The reporter was registered and properly certified as a member of the Parliamentary Press Gallery. But the reporter had filed a story unfavourable to the government.
Churchillian Paraphrase
