The urge to purchase an electronic vehicle is a craze.
First, electricity is only the conduit between the power source and the car. Around the world, most electric vehicles are coal-powered, some more are natural gas-powered, and some are nuclear-powered. A few are powered by dams that have flooded forests, ruined landscapes, and caused other harms and damage.
We have done very well as a species. We took a planet with a carrying capacity of less than 1 billion people. As result of our work and design the planet now supports more than 9 billion and growing.
